There are a number of questions which crop all the time when you are considering booking your photographer. I've hopefully answered some of them here but please contact me to discuss your exact requirements in detail.

What if we need you for longer than six hours?

The standard package gives you six hours of photography and I normally allow an extra half hour for journeys between wedding and reception. However if six hours still isn't long enough then extra time can be added at £75.00 per hour (including vat).

What if we don't need you for six hours?

The first thing to work out is what parts of your day do you want covered? If you want coverage of the bride at home you really need to allow at least two hours prior to the ceremony time. This will allow me to cover the bride and catch the groom prior to the ceremony. After that it really does depend on the timings of your day and what you want pictures of. I have offered down to three hours coverage so the best thing to do is to contact me to discuss your requirements and I will quote from there.

How many pictures do I get?

For six hours coverage with one photographer the average number of pictures on the proof CD is 350. For two photographers across six hours expect 800 pictures. From this you select the images for your digital portfolio.

Can I have another digital portfolio?

Yes, not a problem. A duplicate copy of your disc is £30.00. Another unique disk is £75.00 and includes the portfolio case and the cover image print of your choice.

Do I have to choose my album at the time of booking you?

No, you can if you want to but if you're happy for me to do your photography you can add the album at any time in the future safe in the knowledge that you get the digital portfolio anyway.

What can I do with the pictures on the CD?

The only thing you cant do with the images is sell them - no Hello magazine deal then ! No really you can do anything else - print them, design your own album, email them to friends (although the file sizes aren't designed for this and are BIG!) - they really are your images !

I'm getting married in church, what are you allowed to cover ?

This is completely at the discretion of the person conducting your ceremony and I will always follow their guidance. For more information on this vast subject please contact me.

Why would I need two photographers?

The advantages of having two photographers are many but basically you get more coverage. When one is with the bride covering her preperationthe other is capturing the details of your venue and taking images of the groom, rings etc. With a church wedding two photographers can obtain images from both ends of the church capturing the details of the vows and the ring exchange and the wider atmospheric shots. Following the ceremony one can be taking the group images whilst the other is free to capture the candid moments and alternative angles. I think you've got the idea !

What equipment do you use?

Ah the technical question - currently I use a Canon 5D and Canon 1D mkII with focal length lenses of 24mm - 20mm at f2.8. Each camera has it's own dedicated high power flash guns. For event work we use a 3mtr background in a choice of colours and Bowens studio lights and two dye sublimation printers for producing printed pictures on the night.

Are the pictures we receive at events real photographs?

The printers that we use at events use the dye sublimation process - this is the same technology that a high street laboratory would use to produce your pictures. The prints are instantly touch dry and fabulous to look at. They are definitley real photos and not inkjet prints and are presented in a mount and a print bag to keep them safe.

I really dont like having my photo taken !

Ok, this is a statement not a question but its something I hear regularly. One of my jobs is to build a relationship of trust between us and to help you relax and forget the camera. To help you I offer a free photo session prior to your wedding so that we can cover what you're worried about and I can help you through it. Please dont worry about your photos, you'll be fine and look great.
